It was quite late as I was finishing the 2nd part of the disassembly so I made a mistake. Memory module is 2 Gigabit which is 256 megabytes (not 128). So memory is the same as Kindle 3.

The battery will most likely last for more years than you will keep the Kindle. I wouldn't worry about it failing.
