In reply to blue_skies: The touch screen doesn't bother my thumbs at all and I have the Kobo touch, the thing you have to take into consideration is that the bezel is a lot smaller than on Non-touch models, so my thumb rest just off the screen and I barely have to move it at all. Plus you can hold it anyway you want and not have to move back to press a button.

I'll second that. I usually do no more than twitch the edge of my thumb onto the screen to turn pages.

When the new one comes, use the current one as a spare, or sell it, or give it to someone you know who would use it.
