some days ago I bought a kindle 3 refurbished and i think so I will keep him until December.
Next i will think if change with touch 99$ or no..

I'm with you. Don't get me wrong. I think most tablets are cool and would love a new toy, but I really have no need for a tablet and I can certainly never imagine wanting to use one as a reader. If I were in the market for a great priced, lower-end tablet, I'd certainly give the Kindle Fire a really hard look but it would never replace my K3.

Same goes for the new Kindle reader models. I have no desire for a touch screen only, keyboardless reader.

Hopefully my K3 will hold up for several more years yet and, if/when it finally goes, as all electronic devices eventually do, I only pray that they have some better options available than they do now.

Well I am simply OVERwhelmed by all the new Kindles as well as the prices! This will allow ereaders to be in the hands of more consumers and I personally would love to have one of each! I have a like-new K2 but always desired a K3. So now I will be on a quest to find a K3 3G on eBay for under $90 and will be getting the $99 KT WiFi from Amazon!

If I do get one, it'll be the Touch 3G model. I'm not convinced right now that the upgrade is worth it. I'll wait until there are some reviews posted from actual users before I decide.

I've ordered the Fire, but not as an ereader. My K3 does excellent duty in that department (and it has 3G).

I chose "I'll take a keyboard any day. Sticking with a K3." as I really enjoy my Kindle. I'm not fully opposed to the KT, but I would like the ability to play around with it before buying.

I'm surprised at the number of people who feel they need a keyboard (though if you have a k3 already, I totally understand not buying a new model). I have a nook touch. I spend about 99% of the time reading and maybe 1% writing-- reviews etc. I can't imagine those tiny round keys work much better than the virtual touch keyboard.

The tactile feedback from physical keys is a factor. You've got to concentrate a lot more with touch screen keys.

Besides, the major reason for wanting keyboards is to navigate (not simple 'write') around without leaving smudges on the viewing surface.
