The bezels on the new Kindles

we'll probably see higher quality photos of the $79 Kindle this week since they were shipping yesterday. I would imagine the better photos should give a better idea of the bezel color.

Yes, the videos have them looking dark gray, not at all silvery.

In some of the photos and videos I saw they looked lighter (almost silver in color or a very light gray) when viewed head on, that is, perpendicular to the front face, but then they looked considerably darker when viewed at an angle. That might have to do with the finish on the bezel as it might reflect light differently at various angles. I just hope they have a matte finish. I hate a glossy or shiny look around text when trying to read.

EDIT: See this video at Gizmodo: Kindle non-touch. It might just be the bright lights, but you definitely see the silver color at times. Also it appears that their is a metalic looking silver band around the outer edge of the bezel.
