I'm a bit confused. The first post says:

your ini has no " &" at an every codeline. I added it and now I see "success" on my kindle. Will see if it works.

The first post is correct. Also, the ampersand at the end of the line is unnecessary with kaffeine (and many other things posted in these forums), though it doesn't hurt.

Although I have "success" message, my kindle 2 goes to sleep. I have restarted it several times. Should I copy kaffeine under Linux?

no.
i do not own a k2 or dxg.
without a test bed, i can't support these devices.
if you would like the source, ask for it.

i replaced it with the fix.

for reference, it should look like this:

I read today, that I can install updates for Kindle 3 on my Kindle 2. Don't know if it is a good idea. If I update, I will post my results here.
I also found a script to disable a screensaver, called prevent_ss.ini.zip
