Actually, Amazon had it up as their app-of-the-day a few weeks back, and I snagged it on an impulse.

No. Totally free. Normally a $12.99 App. That's the beauty of Amazon. If you are not checking their Free App of the day everyday you will miss out on some incredible Apps. Of course the App of the Day doesn't always work with the eDGe but the beauty is you didn't pay for it. Plus, once you "purchase" the App, even the Free App of the Day, it is always linked to your account. So if you own or were to purchase another Android tablet in the future you will be able to install them on additional devices as well.

That's weird. I downloaded the PrinterShare app the day they had it listed. All I could do for free is print a test page. It said I had to purchace to print anything else. I wonder why?

They have a pretty sophisticated pricing structure.
Start the app -> Menu -> Help -> Payment Options.
There is a price for the app – that’s what Amazon’s giving away occasionally.
There are a few levels of subscription.
And there is a dependency on a connection method, e.g., if I print from PE to Wi-Fi printer directly – it’s free and unlimited, but if I print to the same printer using a computer – it’s Basic and limited to 20 pages.

If you downloaded it from Amazon using their Store App you should be able to uninstall it and download it again and install it and it should work. Open the Amazon App Store App and press MENU on the tablet. Select My Apps and All see if it is listed. If so, it should read Open and that is a good thing. Go back to the Home Screen and uninstall the Printer Share App. Go back to the Amazon App Store App and again press MENU and my Apps and All and this time it should have Install listed next to it. Install it and it should work.

I know this because I downloaded the App and installed it on my PE and again on my Viewsonic gTab. The gTab experienced a software glitch and I had to reset it back to factory defaults which wiped all my Apps. All I did was open the Amazon App Store App and I was able to download and install everything I previously purchased using the Amazon App Store. Once you buy it (or even get it free as an App of the Day) it is stored in the Cloud and should be available to re-install.

Thanks Obsessed. The result of your instructions are weird for me. It does not exist in My Apps. I guess I'm going a little crazy. Maybe it'll come back around before too long and I can snag it then. Thanks anyway - Micky

If you haven't already, try doing a search in the Amazon appstore for PrinterShare. If you are lucky it will show up with an "install" button, showing that you've purchased it already. I thought I lost a free app once, but found I really had it after all!

I am using PrinterShare too print on a brother MFC all-in-one hooked up to an imac and it works fine for the occasional PDF or web page. If I try something else though ( like calendar) it crashes. I don't really care though.

i think rememberred what happened on that day so long ago............i think i tried to download from amazon and it told me that it was not compatible with my device and i found it somewhere else that said it was free. turns out it was not. so now i'm just waiting for it to post on amazon again as free.

When Amazon say an app is incompatible, click again and you can usually download it anyway.

Bummer. Why didn't you tell me that before?

Just kidding. Hopefully they will put it up for free again soon. Do they cycle through them and if so does anyone know how long it takes for things to repeat?
