Not sure if they are available as ebooks, but I recommend the trilogy written by the Australian WWII correspondent Alan Moorehead - Mediterranean Front, A Year of Battle and The End in Africa. They have also been published in one volume called The African Trilogy. He basically covers the North African and Mediterranean campaigns. Very interesting and very good writing.
