Did you get registered??

If not, I will try to answer your question: If you have Adobe Digital Editions on your PC you can attach your eDGe by the USB cable to your PC. Once your PE is properly mounted to your PC your Adobe Digital Editions should recognize it and ask if you want to authorize the device. Say yes and follow any directions, and you're done!

Note: I haven't actually done this as my PE was registered before enTourage went dark, but I have transferred books from ADE to my PE through the USB cable -- hope I got it right!

I have consistently failed to get past the code 80 error.

I just did the registration on my PC (a Mac actually).

I connected my edge to the Mac after doing the registration and the library opened on the Mac without a selection for the PE or any place to add it.

However, after I closed the ADE application on the Mac and then reopened it, a new option appeared on the left side panel entitled "Edge". When I clicked on it, it showed the pdfs I have on the Edge.

Then I downloaded a free epub from Adobe's Sample Library.

It installed and I have just opened it on the PE and read a bit.

So, the problem with registering through the PE may be unimportant.

P.S. on the settings menu item for Adobe, my correct Adobe ID is listed.
