I guess I wonder how this is different than the current situation (other than people having cheaper (and easier?) access to an ebook reader). People can download now, whether they have a reader or not. They can buy now as well. Either way, they can view these books on a computer, an ebook reader, their phone, their tablet, etc.

I think what it does have the power to do is help people on the fence to realize whether or not an ebook reader is right for them while bringing the fact they exist into the minds of those who don't already know much about them (via press).

I think this is a great way for people who aren't sure if they will like reading on an e-reader or not to test it out first.

May just borrow one myself. Reading on my 7" Android tablet now, but thinking a 6" Kobo might be a nicer size and want to compare reading with e-ink.
