It looks like those who have local.amazon.com available in their area will start seeing local offers on the KSO and the certificate will show up on the KSO to redeem locally.

Not much use here (or anywhere I could easily drive to, for that matter). Even though it is supposed to be LivingSocial deals, which do work here (not that there are many I'd ever want).

This is exactly what I do. My KSO is full of free books and a couple of other Collections of books that I rarely look at. Other than that, I look at it every 4 days to see what the Offers are.

I read on my KSO all the time and it seems my other ereaders (Kwifi and Jetbook) are being neglected.

I send all my freebies either to K4PC or Amazon Cloud.

If you're not in the US, the "International" units are just KSO's without the ads (some boxes still mention that it's a KSO).

I kind of think original users should have the option for the offers. We've already paid extra to not have the offers, so what does it cost them if we decide we do want them.

That being said, I don't feel ripped off, either. There are a lot of free and discounted books out there that I've gotten from Amazon for the Kindle that I probably wouldn't have read otherwise and the savings does add up. Has it added up to what I paid for my 3G? probably not, but I do feel I'm close to halfway in covering my 3G cost through discounted and free books.

I paid $350 for my K2 and I'm fairly certain that with all the free or discounted books (that I've read, mind you) plus no S&H costs... it's paid for itself several times over.
