Not even for a nano second! So far i see nothing to replace my Kindle for reading - not a nice experience outside or in bright lights on a tablet. I always have my kindle handy when i go out so if i am waiting at an apt or whatever i always have something to read
also the screen on the kindle is just the right size - the 10 inch screens are way too bulky. I have a toshiba tablet that i use a lot - but not for reading books! |

same here. I had the Ipad first, but found it lacking in terms of reading, and bought the Kindle. The Ipad is great for many things, but if I had to choose between them, I'd keep the Kindle over the Ipad.

I want one of the touchpads, because I'd really like a tablet, but now that I have the kindle, I wouldn't give it up either. Love it!
I also hope I get the email from HP about the new batch of touchpads. I did get one saying it would be soon. Not sure I'll be able to get one still...I spent hours trying to get one when they were on sale and never made it. But I'll give it another try if they come up for sale again. |

Why downgrade screen quality and battery life?

Count me as one of those who has an iPad and still loves their Kindle. The iPad is used for web browsing, games and media. Very, very rarely for reading.

I really like the Touchpad. Even more after I installed Preware and Govnah and over clocked the device. I am currently running at 1.836 GHz.

Enjoying my Touchpad in the UK as well as my kindle.
They are both good for different reasons with eink being best for reading while the web browser on the touchpad for general surfing. I would recommend Preware as another poster mentioned as there are loads of patches and utilities on there to improve touchpad use |
