It would be a crying shame to put full Android on the Touchpad. WebOS is so much more elegant, powerful and easy to use. However, I hope they can get Android apps to run in an Android emulator on a card. That would make the Touchpad the perfect device.
Since we already run Ubuntu under Webos (and thus making the Touchpad the only tablet that can replace a real computer) I am quite confident that this will happen. |

On my third day of use here, and I've got to agree that webOS is lovely. But why, oh why, is there no gesture or standard button to go Back? Some apps have a back button, but on others you seem to have to close them and start again.
I agree, though. Already, I'd regret porting Android over the top of webOS. Dual boot or running in a card would be ideal. Graham |

Nice progress for less than 3 weeks of hacking. Last edited by lost101; 09-06-2011 at 06:11 PM. |

Right now, this is the most interesting unofficial android tablet for me. Mainly because of the 1024x768 (4:3) 9.7in screen for reading. Even if you pay 2x the firesale price, it's still good value considering the hardware (1.2ghz dual core cpu, 8hr+ battery, beats audio). Last edited by lost101; 10-13-2011 at 06:36 AM. Reason: Parental Advisory: The Netflix demo includes a gory video clip. :) |
