I finally got it working after playing with the build.prop. Market 3.0.27 works (I think it auto upgraded from 2.2.15). I tried messing with the build.prop again and it kept giving me server errors and I had to downgrade which just left me with a limited market again.

I have it working again finally. I learned my lesson - don't mess with a good thing!!

And don't mess with system files unless you are absolutly sure of what you are doing - can, and very often does, lead to disaster.

Just remember that ermine is beta software that was heavily modified for the PE and EE. As a consequence the latest and greatest is less likely to run.
