True about the Amazon tie-in, but I don't think weight is much of an issue. I think it's about an ounce heavier, maybe a little less? I haven't really thought about the weight; both are nice and lightweight IMO so I personally didn't see that as a point of comparison.

It depends on how you hold it and for how long, I guess. I've played with my friends' and grandmother's Kindles, and they seem much, much heavier than my wifi. I'll admit that my friends' kindle is a bit older, but my grandmother's is brand-spanking new.

They are a lot heavier.

Kindle 1 & 2: 10.20oz/290g
Kindle 3 (full): 8.70oz/247g
Kindl3 3 (wi-fi only): 8.50oz/241g

Kobo/Kobo Wi-Fi: 7.80oz/221g
Kobo Touch: 7.05oz/200g

According to Wikipedia, anyways. My Touch is ~185g according to my kitchen scale just now (alas, it's a crap scale with 10 degree gradations), so something like 6.50oz.

I'll buy one from you . I'd say buy them all, they go for around a hundred each on Ebay.

The Kobo Wifi is a good ereader... I have owned one since last Christmas and it has been working great. There are times when it would hang or freeze on loading large text files (I seem to have fixed this by changing the font to sans serif from the default serif option in the menu... still takes a short while to load), but everything else has been working fine. I do not use PDF support much except for looking at the bus schedule or rules for a card game... It does not like very large pdf files though... hope fully the touch has more memory... Holding off on replacing my wifi until all the major issues with 1.9 firmware are fixed.

A week ago I bought three @$49 each for me, my wife, and my daughter. But it was three of the last five remaining at my local Borders. I feared waiting any longer as I had watched the supply dwindle from ~110 at $79 to ~80 at $69 and only five left when I went in last Monday. I think it is well worth it at these prices, although I had been leaning toward Kobo at the $99 price point anyway.
