hmm, reading this post and the responses I feel like I am alone in reading kindle on my side find kindle perfectly suited for this, the ultimate of lazy one handed reading positions .. to get even lazier you can prop it up on something at the perfect angle hehe, roll of toilet paper if you have a cold makes a perfect base for kindle defying gravity balancing on one corner :P

Ignoring the ipad , and nook.. the sony one when i got kindle 3 was about same price (after tax refund sony deal) with same pearl screen, all reviews said buy either one hehe.. the main reason I went for kindle was purely cos it wasnt touch screen If I am reading something and an eyelash or a random bit of dust falls on screen, is nice to wipe it away with a brush of the hand without turning the device off first / whatever .. plus you get a qwerty keyb instead of touch .. shudders

With ipad, the fingerprints and reflective screen would drive me insane :P

:edit - litterally insane - have a cintiq drawing tablet, even with an artists glove that constantly cleans the screen hehe, always end up with the odd finger print .. have a small mp4 player thats touch screen aswell heh, atleast has a hold button so i can wipe it
