Thanks! The delete on the Touch may be a safe delete? I am going to try to use the file browser and use a <shift><delete> and see if a Trash folder is created.

Yes, that's where they go when you "soft" delete. I haven't been talking about that. I'm referring to a real delete. Mac OS and Windows to a lesser extent have been known to leave a bunch of junk behind referencing the deleted file even when you do a "hard" delete. Linux doesn't do this in my experience, though different file managers may handle things differently, but when I use Dophin and select "Delete" from the right-click menu, the file is gone, period.

I've had this problem crop up too. There are some utilities that are easier to use, but I recommend Cygwin
It's sort of like using Linux bash, but in windows. Open the prompt as admin. Once you're in the prompt you do the following: #cd <drive letter of kobo>: <--- ex. cd D: #ls -al <---- tells it to list everything, including hidden folders #rm -R <folder name> <---- deletes the whole folder. You have to put a '\' before the space character if the folder name has spaces in it. I'm not quite sure why it works the way it does, but I don't see anymore hidden folders. Hope this helps. |
