Heyer's detective fiction are fun! And well plotted. Stories about her claim that her lawyer husband provided the plots, and Heyer created the characters. Her detective novels feature upper class twits caught up in improbable murder cases. The dialogue is oft times shatteringly funny - esp. if you've watched a lot of Masterpiece Theater - and can supply the correct intonations for the voices - Stephen Fry's Jeeves will give you an idea.

If the rest of her novels are indeed put on sale, be sure to pick up all of her Inspector Hemingway and Inspector Hannasyde novels. (http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/h/georgette-heyer/)
