not summer movies per se but i loved battle los angeles and sucker punch.

i haven't seen a single one of the "summer" movies. zero interest.

Have not seen Midnight in Paris, but I liked Hobo with a Shotgun until the ending. Rutger Hauer brought such a humanity to the role, which surprised me due to it being such a "Grindhouse"-style movie... although it was actually closer to a Troma movie than a grindhouse movie.

Hm, what was the last movie I've seen in a cinema... I know we wanted to see Pirates but never got around to it. I really can't remember. But that isn't much of a surprise, there weren't a lot of movies this summer I really wanted to see (beside Pirates).

I know it wasn't a Summer flick, but that Fright Night remake sucked hard. What a soulless, vapid movie that almost seemed to go out of its way to take out any of the charm the original had... and I'm not even a fan of the original movie.
