To register or not? - Page 2

I personally would avoid registration as long as possible because I don't like forced updates from Amazon. The latest update has only worsened the reading experience. I though that I will get used but obstructive twitter screen at the end of the book and disappearance of locations are still bothering me. The previous firmware was better. Is there any way to downgrade it?

I've downloaded books of authors I couldn't find on the Kindle Store, that leaves me no choice.
Eg: I'm a Sci Fi guy but can't find many of Asimov's major works on amazon.Moral consolation is ofc that I own the actual books.

yeah... availability is a big factor.

It happens with movies and soaps as well. shows like Psych aren't aired here

, and we can't watch it online on official sites either.

I would buy more books if they were not ripping us off here from Canada. Our $ is higher and yet we are paying more books. E-books are not a real psychical product; Therefore books being lower in the U.S due to volume does not apply.

Never mind some books are not even offered here in Canada.

But if you don't register the Kindle can you still put your books on it? Mine are all on my computer and I use USB transfer to get them on the Kindle.
