I found that when I was using my wall charger, it would tell me I had a full battery and it has an automatic shut off so you don't overcharge your battery, it would wear down faster. I have started just charging it through my computer and using the wall charger when I am at my boyfriends house.

How much did you pay for it? Please tell me it wasn't from a Chinese seller. Their stuff is cheap but as the expression says, you get what you pay for. Cheap crap often ruins electronics.

I read the eBay boards and read about one guy who bought a cover for his iPhone with some solar charging panel. He fried his iPhone. Don't buy cheap crap from China on eBay! Just because a lot of things are made in China doesn't mean they're all of the same quality. There are constant problems with people buying cheap products from Asia on eBay. It's just junk and they don't care.

I hope the charger hasn't damaged your reader but I would never trust cheap Chinese/Hong Kong junk bought on eBay. It's worse than the crap being pawned off in dollar stores. Untested. Unregulated. Possibly dangerous. Don't subject your precious electronics to that risk.

Interesting. I had the same issue plugging in my Sony to my hub. It froze and I needed to do a soft reset. It also would not recognize my son's iPod. When I plugged into the USB directly it was fine. I'll have to check what I have on the hub. I'm fine plugging in my reader directly but we got a webcam and it does not reach if I plug it in directly, perhaps if I reduce what is in the hub I could plug it in there. We are seriously thinking it is almost time for a new computer so that might solve it too, lol. Ours is 6 years old although it doesn't run too badly since we upgraded ram and a couple other parts a couple of years ago.
