Well their guidelines have 7000 as the minimum. I never know how that translates to paper though.

As a general guideline, 250 words per page, so 7000 words would be 28 pages. Definitely a short story.

Another option is always good but...
I think that the biggest problem comes from the fact that most articles commenting on the success of romance ebooks have pointed out that they can be read in public without concern about what other people think. If this becomes known as THE ereader for romance ebooks, they might as well engrave Fabio's face on the back.

Funny, but that may not be an issue, though, since I think in that case it's less a social stigma against romance novels per se and a social stigma against covers with heaving bosoms/chests on them because OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN. As long as the cover (book or eReader) is sedate, I think nobody cares too much...

Unless you sit there and drool over the cover rather than going on to the next page, it is not an issue.

And if you have nothing better to do than to check out the covers of what someone is reading, then you need to get a life!
