But don't they? If you sort by title instead of by most recent, I just tap one letter on the keyboard and the K screen says "press return to go to X titles." Works well for me.

No link. I talked at length with one of the specialists at Amazon (second level of support after the first person didn't know what I was talking about) and he said they always say to leave them plugged in for 3 days when letting it index this many titles. He also said it is important to let it finish as it will cause a problem if the battery runs down prior to completion. He says that then it will continually index and run down the battery due to corrupt files and will need to be cleared out and started over.

This works for both titles and authors. If you have a lot of books on your Kindle, it's very useful.
