^ dammit. You just gave me an idea for a new K3 collection - Archived.

Because I got all my collection names with "_" characters in front of the name, so they all show up on the main home screen, it sucks because if I now add "_Archived" my collection list will run now over into a second screen.

Thanks. A lot.

^^Glad I could help.

I moved some of my archived books to my K3. I currently have 59 books on my K3, and have 3,000 MB free. I have 7 items archived.

I have 144 books (or other things) in 15 categories from "Short" to "Pending" to "Done" to "Gack!"... And I can't find a THING to READ!

With about 1,700 books on my device, I have used just over half the available capacity. But accessing the Home screen is now s-s-s-l-l-l-o-o-o-w-w, be warned!

I usually don't keep more than 15 books or so stored on the Kindle at the same time. After having read a book, I archive it, and then later transfer the .mbp file to my PC as a backup of all the notes and highlights.

However, after I started using the Kranf Kindle Collection Manager, I've kept more books on the Kindle, as managing huge amounts of books and collections has become much more simple.

I have 92 books on it right now and maybe seven Kindle games. I don't feel the need to put over 1000 books on it when I'm still working on the ones I have. I fill the space in my Droid X often though with games and such.

Used: 306 MB
Free: 2.97 GB

I guess I have some breathing room there, haha.

I have 2.3G free. About 250 books, rest mp3 music.

The UI and hardware just make having a lot of books unwieldy. Frankly the promise of having thousands of books at your fingertip is a marketing ploy. Unless you spend a lot of time organizing, which I have no desire to do, 250 books is rather too many already.
