Seriously, I've already bought 20 books in the UK Stores equivalent (I believe) Summer sale and am probably going to pick a few more over the next couple of days.

A lot of them are ones I would have never bought at the full price or even a normal discounted price. The 60% to 90% discount on many of the titles led me to saying "what the heck", might as well get them and bough back a lot of fond memories of Fictionwise's blowout sales.

I think I still have a few left over from them but then again I did get somthing like 40 or 50 books that time so it can be expected.

I purchased:

The Darkest Child: A Novel ($3.99)

and

Outsider in Amsterdam (Grijpstra & de Gier Mystery) ($3.99)

I'm going to look through the Big Deal listings one more time to see if there are any others that I "must" have.

Sigh. I was so close to going a month without buying an ebook. I've been trying to do that for a year now.

Welp... two more books to download next time I'm near a WiFi connection. :-)

Perhaps I should stop browsing the listings!

[ EDIT: Er... make that three, maybe four :-) ]

I think someone might have typed in the total bytes instead the actual kilobytes. Has anyone bought one of those? I'm almost afraif to try, Even a large scanned PDF should only be a few hundred megabytes. Still...

Which books? I haven't seen that but I would guess it is a mistake. You could download the sample and look at it. The samples at Amazon are supposed to be about 10%. Unless it's a large collection with a lot of books or a lot of pictures it shouldn't be very big.

Picked up the following, which were on my wish list:

Stuff Christians Like
The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment

Then I found this, which was not on my wish list, but which is a wonderful find for a John Gardner fan:

Dragon, Dragon

And now I'm eyeballing the mysteries...Thinking Stuart Neville's two-fer, and maybe the first in the Amsterdam series.

EDIT:

Okay, bought those two, and then also picked up Lovesey's first Peter Diamond, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and Hunter's Run (GRRM). This sale is going to kill my budget.
