Thanks. When I want the manual scrolling feature you describe, I open in Moon+. It's easy to open a file in the Aldiko library with Moon+ if you want to use both.

Sure, but Moon+ takes 20 seconds to open my test file, which is unacceptable (though only marginally so) for a quick reference lookup.

I really like reading on my TX. Very good scroll control. I checked out Moon+. Is it worth $4.69? That is how much it is on the Amazon App Store. My Cruz only has Android 2.0

I was trying the free version of Moon+ from the Android Market. I think the pro version is worth it if you want to support the developer and like the free version. I *almost* liked the free version.

Unfortunately that isn't available on the Amazon App Store and for some strange reason Cruz Readers with Android 2.0 cannot have Android Marketplace apps. Thanks!

It's not a strange reason. They want you to buy through them, not the market. I have an Archos tablet that did that to me too. There are often ways to work around those limits. I found a market app I could use for my tablet. Try Google or here for yours:

It was for me, the developer is also very active and is constantly adding features. So those $5 will give you continued support for some time to come.

It's the only reader that gives you full control of fonts (size/color/type) and margin with. You can even go to 0 margins if you wish. What I really like about the product is you have full control over the layout and accessing the main controls is very easy. It integrates nicely with other products so you can add dictionaries, your own purchased Text-to-Speech engines, and social media--I wasn't to excited about being able to tweet/facebook/email/Evernote my notes, until I realized Evernote is a great way for me to backup my notes and access my notes and comments at a later date. Know I love that feature.

Moon+ is not without it's faults however. The setup dialog boxes kind of reminds me of the house of Winchester where he's adding feature after feature an not necessarily thinking about the best UI. You kind of have to fiddle around with the UI until you get the settings you want.

Another product that shows promise is Mantano Reader it's UI is very nice and does provide many of the features Moon+ but does. However the control is not as fine as Moon+. The Mantano folks are also active and have really put a lot of recent effort in their product.

I bought the Moon+ Pro. Trying to figure out how to move the books I already have on the reader.
