Welcome to the world of e-reading. I'm glad you are enjoying your iPad2. I've had the original iPad and really enjoy reading on it as well. In some ways, but not all, I prefer it to "real" books, sometimes referred to here and elsewhere as DTB (dead tree books).

One of the nice features of the device is the ability to use all the various sites that offer e-books. I have iBooks, the Kindle app, the Nook app, the Kobe app, and Bluefire. I tend to use the Kindle app for almost all of my e-reading because I prefer the bookstore. But, and this may be heresy here, I think iBooks has the most visually pleasing interface. This is obviously a subjective judgement and hasn't led me to use it more because each app supports its own store.

Unfortunately, you will see a lot of ad hominem attacks here on all things Apple. It is the nature of this particular beast. Apple still is the only company to support both B&N and Amazon. You can still buy from those stores using Safari (not as hard as some will claim). E-reading is rapidly evolving and I suspect the industry will look quite different in a year or two. In the last year we have seen an explosion of self-publishing success (monetarily if not artistically). You decide what app you like, which store you like. Enjoy your iPad2.

Comics and whatever's available from the library. Needing to save up money for down payment for a house has greatly curbed my ebook spending...
