I have no complaints about my 650, it's beautiful. I don't miss wifi and if it had it I doubt I would use it that much. The embedded software needs to be changed though. I've only used it once, after that it's Calibre all the way!
The battery life should be improved. It's not bad but I'm sure the other brands have longer battery life.It also would be nice to get a charger with it as was mentioned earlier. Also maybe the charger can allow you to read at the same time. The price will have to go down though given Amazon, Kobo and the nook prices. |

I just want to be able to browse and buy books at the online store without first having to be redirected to the PC software
![]() How about all purchased books being (by option) stored online and then easily browsable and instantly downloadable from both the device and any apps on various devices such as the PC with the option to sync current reading so you can switch devices mid book and continue where you were. An online personal library of sorts, but available offline too. Buying books would add them to your online library, which if you want, can be set to auto download to your device(s). The process is way more complex than it has to be right now. Oh, and it needs to continue to support all 3rd party book stores and libraries! I'm not sure how much it's changed on the 650 and other newer readers, but I have a 505 and would like real series information on the reader so I don't have to manage that so much myself, though Calibre helps here immensely. Basically, I would like usability improvements more than just new features per say. One can hope... Last edited by danwdoo; 07-18-2011 at 01:16 PM. |

Make a five inch ereader to mil-spec toughness standards, with solar battery charging and it should run for about $360, and it would sell to a good sized market.
Bells and whistles do not trump reliability and durability. |

Sony is 102% more expensive than a functionally similar Kindle. The rumour is Sony will provide a refresh of at least two existing eink models next month. Hopefully one of the refreshes will be price. |

In all honesty, I do believe that the Sony devices are worth a premium price, however. I paid $300 for my first Sony reader and never regretted a penny. |

Would like to see in next PRS :-
User selectable (and ability to add) range of fonts. Ability to specify the point size of small, medium etc to nearest 1/2 point (if this enough, or less?) to get rid of the ridiculous differences currently. Bonus points for seeing whether the Ventura MGS system can generate enough power to keep a 350 going for ever and ever without need to plug in... "automatic watch with a digital display driven by a micro-generator" (see http://forums.watchuseek.com/f79/ven...AE-515186.html ) ps keep the page turn buttons... the touch swipe is not for me. |

1- Solar charging - not helpful if you seldom read outdoors or in very bright light.
2- WiFi - great in the certain areas, worthless on others. And I want the book in Calibre to handle the cover, metadata, and series/collection information. 3- Books stored online, not helpful for those of use you travel in internationally and do not have access to wifi much of the time (I can put my entire Calibre library on my laptop though). |

I love my 950, but it would be nice to have more range in font sizes, the ability to change fonts, and the ability to choose justification. With just these changes it would be perfect for me. Oh, and maybe a choice other than the silver.

I have not tried it. I just copy my Calibre Lib onto my laptop before a trip. Then either copy it back to my desktop when I get back, or just import the new books into my Calibre Lib on my desktop. When traveling, if I get new books, I don't always do a full metadata gathering and such.
