If you'll look at my guide to installing market you will see that while we can get through that, it still will not allow downloads, though I haven't tried with this new market and my fix, I don't think it will be that much different.

Thanks for providing the app. Where do you find the latest version? I do manage to find a version but after installing it asked to connect to the market to update and otherwise cannot use. I can foresee it will update and stop me using it again.

I don't believe it's going to be a case: I still have to see any app dynamically checking permissions, even Market doesn't do that. In worst-case-scenario just don't update.

you know what.
what is puzzleing me is how they got the market working in my Nook color.
in cyanogen mod 7 there are the gapps.zip that you install after you do the rom without booting and get perfect market. and that is not a phone, does not have any phone engine!!!
and works.
how how is done?
