Melitabel, have you tried updating your new EE?

I got a new one not long ago which had the "Badger" OS to start with. Look in Settings/About eDGe (I think) to find what version you have.

If you have Badger the first thing you need to do is update, possibly even using the "Update" app in your app list.

I don't remember whenther Badger has the Journal where it belongs, but it's possible it doesn't, being an old version of the enTourage firmware. I saw that and did an immediate update on mine, which took a long time to process but resulted in an up-to-date EE with everything it should have.

Thanks to you all in the first place (and hugs to Sarah for advanced handholding, not for the first time), I went over to the "So you want Ermine" thread for some specific advice after my first try at the Golden update didn't work. One new usb drive, some reformatting, and downloading from anther site later, and I have the Journal, plus a set of apps that looks a bit more like what came with the PE. So I am now re-installing wireless (I guess I have to re-register too?) but I am very relieved and happy. I keep coming across pdfs I want to download to my Edge - now I am almost ready to go.

lol yeah, sometimes we forget that this is just a sub-forum of mobileread, and yes, an EE is the full-sized, original Entourage Edge, and the PE is the smaller, more recent, Pocket Edge.

Understood, but I'm curious. What are you searching for that brings you here, but you're not familiar with the Entourage products? I'm just wondering what this forum would be a match for that's not to do with the EEs or PEs.
