Time for the next set of clues:

Clue 16: Two members of the cast of this movie made an appearance in the movie "My Chauffeur."

Clue 17: Another lesson from this movie: A deal with the Devil is likely to be a very bad deal indeed.

Clue 18: The movie features the transformation of the lead character, temporarily, into a hunchback.

Clue 19: One scene features a scenario inspired by "Cyrano de Bergerac."

Clue 20: In another scene the lead character sings a song, a song with the same name as the movie.

Time for the final set of clues:

Clue 21: The main character arrives at college on the back of turnip truck.

Clue 22: The movie features three dream sequences.

Clue 23: The musical group The Untouchables performs the song "The General."

Clue 24: The final scene in the movie is the same as the first scene, except that it's played in reverse.

Clue 25: One cast member appeared in the movie "Love And Other Drugs."

Well Clue 23 finally gave it away, although I had to check with Google. But given the fact I've spent what feels like hours "investigating" this one, I think I can claim the prize for "The Party Animal".

Excellent question and set of clues Sloitaire1. I doubt I will stand a chance of getting to 25 without giving it away.

OK, assuming I'm correct, here are my first 5 clues:

1. Also an 80's movie

2. The main character is an 11 year-old boy who's parents ignore him in favour of the neighbours

3. The movie includes an appearance by the Minotaur

4. One of its stars was also in A Midsummer Night's Dream

5. A wardrobe plays a significant early role in the movie

I think you will have seen this one, lestatar

You win the prize! It was getting harder and harder to come up with clues, and I was afraid that Clue 23 would finally give it away.

To finish the round, the following are the explanations for the clues (when needed):

Clue 1: Features a Sinatra, but no relation to Frank or anyone related to him. The main character's name is Pondo Sinatra.

Clue 2: Almost the entire movie is a flashback. Only interviews within the movie, and the very end of the movie take place in the present.

Clue 4: Concrete Blonde provided a song for this movie, but before they were Concrete Blonde. The group Dream 6 provided the song "Rain" for the movie. Dream 6 became Concrete Blonde.

Clue 5: One cast member also appeared in the movie "Ghostbusters." Tim Carhart

Clue 7: One cast member appeared in the movie "The Human Tornado." Jerry Jones

Clue 8: One cast member appeared in the Steve Miller Band video for the song "Abracadabra." See this YouTube video, she's the first woman you see in the video:

Clue 9: One cast member was a regular on the soap operas "Another World," "Days Of Our Lives," and "Guiding Light." Judi Evans

Clue 13: This movie has a plot item in common with the following movies: Love Potion No. 9, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Each movie features a love potion, in one form or another.

Clue 16: Two members of the cast of this movie made an appearance in the movie "My Chauffeur." Both Matthew Causey and Leland Crooke appeared in "My Chauffeur"

Clue 20: In another scene the lead character sings a song, a song with the same name as the movie. In a dream sequence, Pondo sings a song called "The Party Animal."

Clue 25: One cast member appeared in the movie "Love And Other Drugs." Luci Roucis

I hope you enjoyed the game. I look forward to the next challenge.

Clue 6 - Filmed in Hungary, with some scenes done in Paris. It wouldn't be until 1996 that the director would make another film outside of the New York area.

Clue 7 - When the main character leaves for the army, he is shown carrying preserved butterflies and a butterfly net as homage to Russian-born author Vladimir Nabokov.

Clue 8 - The philosophical discussion between the characters (e.g. "subjectivity is objective") actually comes from the writing of Russian philosophers G.I. Gurdjieff*and P.D. Ouspensky, as does the title of the film.

Clue 9 - The director also plays the main character.

Clue 10 - The film is a comedy
