Sooty has 186 ranging from 67,493 to 7,863,080 for a total of 198,026,640 and an average of 1,064,659.

So in her case, she would be close to 950 books; me on the other hand would be closer to 375.
Interesting.

I have 1.39 gb of sd card used, Which shows as 1,494,319,104 bytes. Typically most manufactures ignore the 24 and add that number up seperately to boost the appearance of size. Now getting back to space on my sd card
I have been removing books in an effort to display only with covers, for what ever reason my covers are not moving over properly. At any rate My current list of book totals on my ereader is : 2049 all with covers. Obviously the cover qaulity has some impact on size of your epub and will reduce the amount of books available to be stored on your ereader. I like good covers so for me I try to get high quality covers. Avg book size seems to be as you suggest PT. With some ranging as high as 1.8 mb though that would be just a small few.
The total size of the current sd card is 8 gb. leaving my free space just over 6gb.

Any way anyone else have any thoughts?

regards

jack

Of the approximately 40 books on my reader over half exceed 1.8 MB. The largest book I have is 47.1 MB. The large books are those that have a lot of non-text elements such as photos, maps, diagrams and hyperlinks.

Joe

It is related to whether the books on the device deal with weighty topics.
