Problem solved.
Turns out it was the firewall settings on my wireless modem. Took me forever to figure out how to access this as not something I have had experience with. But finally worked it out and turned the firewall off completely and the download worked. Yay!!! Now just to work out how to set a custom firewall to allow the particular port I need so that I don't have to turn the whole thing off and on everytime I want to download a book. Thank you all for your help |
