Just use Sigil to edit LH in the CSS. Or you could use T(weak EPUB) in Calibre and edit the CSS with Notepad, then , click rebuild (in the Tweak control panel).

In most cases, I remove just LH and it looks fine.
Exceptions: Mixed fonts in a Paragraph.

The problem is, doing that on a LARGE scale (hundreds of books), is time-prohibitive.

Actually, you may have to dive into each ePub to do it right.

1.9em is a huge waste of screen space and won't look good.

I know. That was what I LAST set it at, just to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. It was an extreme, for purposes of testing.

I would prefer to just bulk convert everything again, and that way, I won' thave to go into each epub, one by one. I have all the source files still (I never delete them...for this type of reason). Then, the CSS for each font would, presumably, work, if line height was not specified.

I'm surprised that you have hundreds of books with this specific problem. It doesn't seem to be common. Are you sure you have a line height problem and not an extra return or break? I'd focus on fixing one book, and figuring out how line height (in-line), line height (css), reader css vs. ebook specified css and any paragraph breaks all interact before going any further.

Every single book has this problem (I've tested about a dozen), because every single book has been converted to Epub in Calibre, using the exact same settings.
