In Kobos defense, the standard method of getting the desktop is to go to the Kobo web site and select "Free Apps", and then select "Desktop". It downloads Version V1.9.

To get the new V2.0 you have to specifically go to the Touch area by going to the Kobo web site and select "Free Apps", and then "eReaders" which jumps to the Touch tab, and then select "Desktop", it takes you to the Touch Desktop download.

Either way, it would seem prudent to just test this stuff before releasing it.

For sure. They really have to get on the problem quickly, because there will be lots of homes with the two Kobo's. Not everyone has two computers.

We've identified the problem and we're working on a resolution.

Finally had a reply from Kobo Customer care suggesting I try a reset on the WiFi [Problem # 318108).

I *DO* wish that Customer Care was kept in the loop as to known issues (and also that a reply came a tad quicker).
