It doesn't look bad. Still not as good as the iLiad though...

It's very slight. Not too bad though. For $60, I can't complain.

You'll find as your GF reads her book and your book is needing a battery charge, you'll wish you had a Sony.

ok you guys are in the same situation as me, we all got ours a few weeks ago, and now sony has decided to release the new model. Are we peed off?

IMHO i wont be upgrading anytime soon having just spent all that money, but im not peed off, i am still totally in love with my 500, i have now read 4 books on it, each was a delight, and i got some gift certs for connect store so i was able to buy a couple of books i havent been able to get elswhere.

I hope Sony do well with the new model and also make operability of the connect software better for us now lowley 500 owners.

I don't think we can be too bitter at Sony. When they start selling a $300 device (that's been out for a while) for $50, it's pretty obvious that they're cleaning house.

Now, if the 505 was full color with 0.05 sec refresh and cost $199... I'd be bitter too.

To any of the lucky folks who have the new reader: is the magnification changed? I mean, does the print size go any larger than the last model's?

Thanks!
