lol... i'm thinking around 80k-120... I work on a letter a day with a bulk renaming tool renaming and stuff before import.

I got sent the collection by another on a hard drive. It's like 150gig... with the deal that I clean up the files and give a copy back along with my measly 17k collection. It's a complete unorganized mess / nightmare.

If the Automerge option is on when you Copy To Library, the books will be automerged (first format in will be kept for each author/title). If you prefer to merge yourself, turn off Automerge (in Import/Export|Adding Books) then use Copy to Library, then use the duplicate finder and manually merge.

I kinda got myself too many audio files back in the day "ahem"
Anyway, I find now that having more is actually annoying, as it takes loads of space to store and backup, and then sort through to find what you want to listen to.
Now I am going through the 200G and ruthlessly not caring about keeping whole albums (just because there is a few songs on it I like) That way I'll have a much smaller music folder with just songs on I like.

I don't want to go the same route with ebooks, so I'm just sticking to my most fav generes, cyberpunk, scifi. fantasy computer books etc. Hopefully I'll end up with a manageable collection and not get lost under the weight of it.

ps, actually my fav books are audio books...
