Ok, so I am braving actual WORK with my PE. Dude!!!! I tend to have multiple tabs open for research for work, but the cool thing is that I can just export my PDF files to my PE, and write directly on them in the Reader side while I search them on the Tablet side. Then, I can use my notes in the Reader to do my writing and fill out my forms on the Tablet side. Whoa! It is hard to see, though, since it is a PDF, but it works, no less.
Next time I get a new batch of work, for which I'll have to take photos, I'm going to use the PE to take the photos and see if they will upload into my form like they are supposed to. If that is successful, I'm set to use the PE for all my work. That is just WILD!!! Not only would I be living ON the eDGe, I'd be living OFF it too. ![]() |

![]() One thing you can do to make PDFs easier to read is to show the Menu at the bottom of the reader and go "View" then "PDF Reflow". This will toggle the display mode to focus on displaying the text of the PDF without the original formatting. Depending on the PDF, this might be completely satisfactory and you can read it much more easily, much like an EPUB. Some PDFs, particularly ones with two columns or perhaps a PDF form, may not work well at all in this mode. Never hurts to try. Simply untoggle the mode if you don't like it. |

Yeah, I think I "got" it before I got it (bought it). I think that may be why any complaints come in. People get it before they "get" it and then they just don't "get" it.
I can't believe how many websites out there critique it without even having used it. I can tell they haven't used it because of how they critique it. There are some people who are impossible to please, and I'm fine with that, but shoot, don't knock it until you've tried it already. And make sure you understand the why's of it beforehand. Otherwise your critique is nothing but hot air. [/rant] Quote:
I used to homeschool and this has soooo much potential in that realm. Sadly, most of the circles I've run in, people are so taken in by other more sleak looking technologies, or namebrands, they totally miss the wonders of this thing. But, I am the one who drove a little escort while my friends drove camaros. I got better gas mileage and they "felt" "cooler". |

I'm not sure what term to search this on, so I'll just ask it. One of my professors writes his own textbook. He has all of the information available free online, but if you want it pretty you can purchase a PDF from him (through a company) for cheap. But all the info is on the site and well organized. So I went to the site and clicked on one of the links to get the page availble for reading. I clicked on the little icon to send it to the reader side and sent it as an EPUB. It looks BEAUTIFUL over there!
Now, does this save as a book in my library? Or do I have to do something else to it? Or doesn't it save? |

I don't think this was discussed as such in the past on the forums, and I'm not sure if there's a search term to use to find it
![]() Anyway, by default, it stores it in a temporary folder where eventually you'll lose track of it. Adding it to your Library will ensure you can always find it in your Library, and also make annotations on it. To add it to your Library, tap the little icon at the very top left corner of the reader screen. This will switch the top row to display several icons. Tap the first one (looks like 3 books with a "+" sign superimposed). On the LCD side you'll see a notification say it's adding it to the Library. You'll now find it in your Library under "Books". |

To get the keypad on the PE press the roller mouse in the middle of the "home" and screen reorientation button.
