Hmm - noone has posted this type of problem before. It would be helpful to Tech Support if you notified them of this so they're aware.

Removing the SD card normally shouldn't cause a problem unless you have a manual update ZIP file on it as this can cause the eDGe to repeatedly boot during the update process.

Tech Support replied that the search within the Library should be working, but that the search of Library items from the Google desktop search is not yet implemented.

That's strange. I had the impression from the release notes that this would be one of the big changes. Guess I read/interpreted it wrong...

Oh well, Google desktop search will indeed include the Library in an upcoming release. Meanwhile, enjoy the in-Library search function

I am having a new issue since upgrading last night.

my eink Is acting funny. It is displaying a circle waiting type sign... and it doesn't. Away... it just spins around and is in the middle of the eink screen.

Also, it is not displaying the pdf correctly after I closed the edge and returned.

Finally, I needed to recalibrate my tablet screen. But now all is good on the tablet screen.

** it driving me nuts... trying to type and get the text boxes to activate...it seems like It doesn't work correct...it wants to scroll up or down

Hmmm. I don't remember ever seeing much of a wait cursor on the eInk side. Best contact Tech Support for assistance: http://www.entourageedge.com/support.

I can not make the spinning wait wheel reoccur. I loaded the same pages as before but things are better n that issue. But the only thing I am fightibg now is selecting a text box from DOLPHIN web browser. The web page wants to scroll up or down. The pointing accuracy has changed. Has anyone had this problem? it is quite annoying and something I have not experienced with my edge until today.

Recalibrating the LCD side should have helped. If using your finger or stylus isn't working, try using the trackball instead.

I also had the spinning circle occur on the eink, very annoying, it even stayed there after closing the book and journal over the wallpaper. I rebooted to fix it, but it happened in class so it slowed me down.

Canezila- I've had to recalibrate my LCD side (and my eInk side) once or twice since owning it. It is a fast process, though. It is strange that it just seems to get out of whack every now and again. Hope things are working better for you now.

I just had the Circle of Death pop up, too. For me, it happened when I was trying to save a journal. I selected "Save", typed in the name, and hit okay. Then, the circle appeared. It is the same animated circle you see on the tablet side when you shut down. I switched from journal back to a PDF I had open. The circle remained. I advanced to the next page on the PDF; the circle remained. I switched back to the journal; the circle remained. So, taking a page from Cheyennedonna's book, I rebooted.

Have any of you reported this to tech support? Just in case, I'll put in a ticket now.

Ah! Now I saw it. This seems to be new, possibly with the Dingo 1.6 update.

Part of me is happy that you saw it, boris, but I'm also sorry it had to happen to you as well

When did it occur for you? Saving a journal?

Yes, but the wait cursor quickly disappears for me (or there's just a ghost of it, which you get with eInk and remove by pressing the Refresh icon at the top of the eInk screen).

We are now aware of this bug and will be releasing another upgrade soon to address the "Circle of Inconvenience" (has anyone really died from it yet? ). This lingering spinner only happens in the Journal app and there are some things that you can do to make it go away if it happens to you:

1. Try saving the journal.
2. Try opening a different journal.
3. Try quitting the journal by choosing Menu-->File-->Quit.
4. If none of that fixes the problem, a reboot may be necessary.
