Unfortunately, I am having trouble accessing both Amazon and enTourage stores from my PE at the moment, so not sure how much help I'm being. ;(
Thanks Filark but unfortunately dropbox is not on either the Amazon or the enTourage stores.

I checked, and you can download APK installation file directly from the Dropbox website:

Thanks borisb I was able to download dropbox to my pc and then install on EE via usb. By chance, can you tell me how I go about getting a downloaded application from an Android phone to the EE? I have another free app called Roboform and it is only available from the Android app store. I downloaded and installed to my phone but I am at a loss as to how to get it to my EE. Thanks much!

You'd have to search the forums, but if you can't find the APK that was originally downloaded, Astro File Manager I think allows you to backup installed apps to a file that you can then transfer to another device.

I have Roboform on my PE, but I also have a ticket in with them (Roboform) asking why my downloads have been failing lately. The old Roboform browser it installed gives miniscule text, which I am hoping the newer versions correct.

You can usually download it from http://www.roboform.com/platforms/mobile/android directly. Sometimes the link has taken me to the Google Android Market, but sometimes it is a direct download to your eDGe.

I hope you can get the newest version and tell me how the browser looks!

By the way, you will be choosing between the native browser and the Roboform browser every time you access the internet. There's another post that talks about this. If you can't find it I will look for it later. (It's worth it, though, to have all my passwords where I can find them.)

Good luck!

Thanks Filark for this info. I was able to download to my pc the link which was roboform-android.zip. From the EE it could not download the zip file. Said it was a bad link. However, I have no idea what to do with the zip file on my pc. It contains 3 directories; lib, META-INF and res and 3 files; AndroidManifest.xml, classes.dex and resources.arsc.

I'm like you... want very much to have all my passwords where I can find them.

Freemanjr, did you try going to the Roboform website using the browser on your EE? The link you want to download is under a Google bag on the Android page and is an apk file, not a .zip. Let's see if I can paste the link: http://www.roboform.com/dist/roboform-android.apk Try that from your EE's browser. I can download and install on my PE up to a point, then the installation ends and it says "cannot install on your eDGe" or something similar. I am guessing you will not have that problem.

Also, you do have Roboform Everywhere, yes? I am still on Dingo. Have you Ermanized?

Let me know how it goes, please!

Oh, if you prefer you can send the file by email to your EE, then open the email and click to install (just in case you didn't know! )

BTM, on Windows, using IE, APK files sometimes get downloaded with ".zip" instead of ".apk". When this happens, just edit the file name afterwards and change the ".zip" back to ".apk".

Thanks Filark and Borisb. I renamed the Roboform zip to apk and it installed on my EE just fine and synched up with their server in seconds. However, it doesn't quite work like it should. It can't seem to find the form fields to fill in the passkeys and userid. It asks if it should try the desktop version of the website (I was using Amazon) and it couldn't find the fields there either. At least with it on my EE I have quick access to look them up and keep them in synch. I have ver 6 of Roboform where they downloaded and installed their product "Good Synch" on my pc's. So on my pc's I'm actually using Good Sync not the Roboform v7 Everywhere to synch with their servers. Filark, I am using Ermine and I'm curious if you upgraded, Roboform might install ok?

I'm curious, too, Freeman!

I have printed out Obsessed's instructions for the upgrade but just haven't done it! (Lazy, mostly. ) I thought I was getting an EE and was going to upgrade that first, but the ebay seller hasn't sent it and probably never will. My first bad experience on ebay. So while I wait to get my money back from ebay perhaps it's time to install that beta on my PE. Just have to back it up, first.

I installed Ermine, tried once more to download the newest Roboform and . . . success!!

The Roboform browser works well now. I can read the text and it fills forms just as it should. It's not as good a browser as the native one, so I use it sparingly, but I am happy!
