Its not a scam at all. I've used it several times in the past to download movies to my Creative Zen. You can pay for your movies via Pay Pal too. Its very safe. I've never had any problems.

A google search brought up the following threads: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...8103455AAk9sVm, http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...ferrerid=59211. Just throwing these out there for your consideration.
Given that Shirlet17's forum account doesn't show evidence of being a spam-bot (no offence, Shirtlet17 ![]() If in doubt, or if buyer beware, then don't buy ![]() |

no offense taken....As I said, I started looking for downloads for my Creative Zen last year, and used that site several times, and I bought two more movies this afternoon. I downloaded to my PC and then transferred to my Pocket Edge. Again, you just pay for what you buy. No putting money in an account. You use your credit card, or pay through Pay Pal. I'm not a "spam-bot".....LOL (whatever that is). Your pocket edge needs to run MP4 format or Ipod videos, which is located on this site. Try it!

lol. A spam-bot is a piece of software that trolls the Internet for forums, sets up an account on any it finds, then posts links to scam websites that are generally loaded with malware. We get them around here from time to time

They are not all $9.99, just new releases; you can buy some for $2 to $4. I just wanted to download some so that I can take my edge on vacation. I have Netflix if I want to watch unlimited, but Netflix does not offered downloads. Well, just thought I would share. Have a good evening.

FYI, for those seeking movies on sites that use PayPal, the L.A. Times posted a story about how hackers use PayPal to access your bank account: "When Cyber Theives Use PayPal as Portal to Bank Account."

An interesting article! If I read it correctly, this person did not set up or use Paypal. This is an important point as the article, as I read it, isn't saying that paying for stuff online with Paypal can cause you to lose all your money.
What appears to have happened is effectively identity theft. If you know a person's bank account info, you can set up a PayPal account for yourself and tie it to another person's account. Then you can go shopping with Paypal. This is actually effectively the same as someone getting hold of your credit card number (etc.) and then using your credit card account to go shopping. As such, I would say everyone one of us who use a computer and who use or have bank account info stored on our computer is at risk of this same Paypal (and credit card) fraud. If you do banking online or have banking info (e.g. Quicken, Money, etc.) on your computer it's critical that you have a top rated antivirus/anti-malware application installed, too. On that note, I think it's safe to recommend to never use your eDGe to access online banking, or to store credit card or banking info on your eDGe as Android, as it currently seems to be, is not at all secure from data theft. |
