Boris, I did say the bad key was usually the case if you can get a connection to an open wifi network. In your case it was clear you weren't getting the signal so no real problem ;-) It is the no connection that doesn't have an obvious reason that are the very devil to find. For example, I have spent the last two hours trying to find out why a laptop - supposedly identical to the one I own - would not connect to our network. Turned out to be the switch that switches the wifi on indicated the opposite to the mine and finding that was accidental, my Newfoundland wanted me to take him out so he stuck his chin on the laptop and changed the switch. Girrr.
