Wow, what is it? Is it an Ipad!!! No, it is an EDGE!!!

No one here in Texas has asked me if my edge was an iPad yet. The most common questions I get are "What is that?" and "Oh is that a Kindle?" or at my university it is "What operating system is it" and "What processor does that run on?" I spend most of my time in the electrical engineering buildings so most of the people know it is not Apple at a glance, but no one has heard of enTourage Systems at all.

I'd sure like to see more sales (maybe that would lead to faster/better development) but I want the company to survive too.

I do agree with VenturingSoul that I don't think the EE team is ready for the mass market yet (considering everything I have been reading about the product as it evolves and the answers I have received to my questions posted to the technical team), but it would be nice if there was a way for someone to actually see the physical product before purchasing it that wont cost you over $70+ (cost of restocking fee & shipping both ways) in case the product is not for you. The eDge has been able to make my wife return her NOOK (though with the NOOK getting a web browser update, maybe she'll go back to it now) and my friends abandon their thoughts of getting a Kindle or iPad (because I showed them the eDge on the web), but the inability to see the physical product has held everyone back (including myself) from ordering the eDge (that's 8 sales..., and counting).

I got the same thing on a plane. But my Edge froze on me and I had to remove the battery. The guy beside said "Oh, I didn't know the Ipad had a removeable battery". Then, I explained to him that it was not an iPad but an Edge. He then asked me, why did you have to remove the battery... I said, cause it crashed on me and in order to reset it I had to remove it. He then responded, thats nasty and I said yes it is.... Then, he showed me his Nook...

Usually followed shortly by "That's so cool!" or "I want one!"

When I debuted my eDGe at work, a couple of Apple fan(atics) asked me, while snickering, why I didn't just wait for the iPad. After seeing me use it in meetings a few times, however, one of them asked me how much it cost. Two weeks later, he said he was thinking about buying it. Last week, two other colleagues asked me about the advantages of the eDGe over the iPad. One of them is planning to buy an eDGe; the other's still sitting on the fence.

I had mine in the special services office at school yesterday, the staff was blown away by it's capabilities and possibilities for students; especially those with special needs.

I get all the same reactions here in San Diego as everyone else... but have gotten a few people to want to buy it. Do we get some kind of comission? HAHA!... J/K I'm happy to promote it. I just hope it's going to be completed soon. (ie. Camera)
