Well I am in Phoenix so we just felt the rolling and watch my pool splash around.
As for what folders they go in if you mount the drive your PC should pop up a window and let you browse. You then have control of what folder to put them in. You might put them in the download folder since I know the library can see that. Worst case go to the Device Storage app and explore there. The eDGe will open up the files automatically. Choose Storage / Internal Storage / download. I think that is what you are looking for. |

Thankx all. I did figure out how to drag down the USB and start and mount it. But when I dragged all my pdf and word files to the "download" folder in the .edge, nothing shows up in my library. I just saw this, and dragged all my files to the /.edge/.esi-content folder.

Now I feel stupider. I can't "unmount" so I can turn off the USB. It says to press and hold the USB in the STORAGE area. But it's not there to press and hold it to unmount.

There is nothing showing in the Internal Storage. It says This folder is empty. All folders in that drop down menu say that. And now I can't find the USB anywhere so I can press and hold to unmount it, then turn it off. It warns me not to turn it off until I've unmounted it. I'm afraid to power down.

OK. I went ahead and turned off the USB. And now my files are showing up for me to add. Thankx so much everyone. I guess I didn't have to unmount when I'm just using the USB cable.

My question is where do YOU live? An earthquake?! O my. I live in the foothills of the San Pedro Wilderness area in northern NM. I've seen tshirts for sale here that say 100 miles from everywhere. It's true. There is a medical clinic that is useless, no grocery store but a mom and pop store that doesn't sell anything like that, not even most vegetables. chuckling. One bank for 100 mile radius, 3 gas stations, 4 churches and no lack of liquior stores, but no businesses besides food and 3 hotels. None of that is in my village but it'n only about a 20 minute drive to get to it all. I'm not complaining. I love it here. I'm a photographer, it's like heaven!

I already unplugged the USB. I've spent an hour just trying to find the USB listed somewhere so I count unmount. It's just not there. I'm kinda concerned I may have done something wrong.

![]() The eDGe is a great reader. It is lacking a bit on some of the user interface stuff and I would expect this to improve as more devices get out there and they get feedback from Novice-Expert users. I would like the library font to be bit smaller so there is less scrolling. I can tell you once you get something on the e-ink side reading is great. I have a Nook and have been pretty happy with it but for most of the stuff I read a larger screen is a must. Thus my purchase of the eDGe. The help file and documentation on the eDGe is pretty good. Watch the videos on the device or YouTube as well. |

So true, ckole. UPS and FedEx are the ONLY shippers who come here. The US Post Office don't. And my PO Box is in another county and zipcode.
I know I'm going to love the eDGe when they get the apps for it to allow web use as good as my laptop. I just hope it's not too long before they bring it up to that standard. I've made posts on my blog about how much more it can do that the iPad, though I was planning on buying the iPad before I heard about the eDGe. I'm waiting to write any more posts until I see if it lives up to promises. It doesn't yet. I got all my files in my library now, but haven't been able to play with them cause I had to charge it first. Thankx again for all your help, and the help of everyone here. |

Thankx borisb. I totally agree, but I'm still trying to find a way to unmount after use.

Just goto the Device Manager and you will see the SD card press and hold it and it will pop out a menu, just select Unmount.

How do I transfer files from my internal storage to a thumb drive. It says move on the menu, but doesn't let me move to USB flash/thumb drive.

After you choose move browse to the location you would like to move to, then look for the paste files here box at the top of the page.
