I had somebody email me from my site looking for help. Their efforts to transfer a book from the Sony site didn't work. Not sure why. My suggestion to others before they spend big bucks on a big only to find out they have issues is to just by a single issue of one of the newspapers. They are $0.99 each and that won't break the bank. For me it has worked with no issues. I haven't even opened the Adobe software. For the 3 titles I purchased I just copied them from my PC to my eDGe and opened them.

Hello Boris I am the one that ckole is speaking of. I have done everything you have said yet I get the same message. All three, adobe, edge, and sony have the same email address, and password. It has to have somthing to do with the entourage because I am able to see the books on my computer, however when I hit the cart on the main menue its says my name and the same email I logged out and logged back in and the password is infact the same as the other two. Can we do a web chat or somtehing maybe you can watch me try to register everything again and see where I am going wrong.

eberhardt333 helped solve my problem he mentioned that adobe reader was not registered under the other email even though he showed that it was online. I too had the same problem, my online, sony store, and entourage email and password all matched however when I looked under authorize computer it had another email address, thank you eberhardt333, boris and ckhole you all really helped me and saved me from going crazy because everyone else could get it and I couldn't. When I first got and played with the Edge I liked it but considered sending it back because of the ebook store and other limitiations such as camera and camcorder not funcitonal, and no flash. However Boris and his entries on the blogs and forum as well as others about available apps has me just excited about this device as the day I first saw and wanted it. Thanks.

Great glad you finally got it solved. I couldn't help you with the Adobe portion because I try to avoid the "middleman" and just copy everything directly to the SD Card, or Sent it to Google Docs and Download, or Use DropBox. DropBox now being my favorite and fastest method.

It was hard simply because I didn't know that adobe had an online email address and a separate one depending on where you registered your computer but thank you all for all your help I feel a lot better now about Edge, I don't feel the edge is that heavy as i usually am sitting on something comfortable when I read so I use it more than my kindle for ebooks now. If we can only get flash now

Unlike Apple enTourage is listening and we will get some type of flash on the device.

That was quick, borisb. Five minutes after I posted that info in the other topic.

I forgot to add that Inkmesh is fantastic for finding promotional free ebooks. There's a one-click link below the search input.

NB: When I followed borisb's instructions on downloading from the Sony ebook store, I had a devil of a time trying to make it work until I realized (half an hour and two ebooks later) that the downloaded books were being put, not in the "My eBooks" or "My Digital Editions" folders, but in a folder called "My Books."

Someone had mentioned this website before for books, but I wanted to throw it up here again because I have found it to have the largest selection and of a larger variety than others. You also get the book in not only epub, but also for your phone and online with the purchase so it gives you options. I have purchased a couple from the site and it has worked fine. Here's the address:

I love kobobooks.com, too. Users in NYC should also know that if you already have a library card, downloading ebooks from www.nypl.org/ebooks is a piece o' cake.
