Android Some apps that work

For AndAppStore:

Just select the Application that interests you and under the Download section of the page you click on it and it will ask you if you want to download it or not. Then, put that apk on a USB stick or SD card and open it from the device. Some apps don't work on the device though.

ES File Explorer is great! the Slideme.org app works well. It is only in a small screen but makes it easy to install the apps in its marketplace. See my site more details.

Calibre should also work soon! The next version will have beta support for it.

Isilo is also in small screen. Will be putting a reconfigure request in their forum. Windows Isilo app does go full screen.

Which version of Android does the edge ship with? 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 or 2.1??? Has anyone tried to upgrade the Android OS on their edge?

I believe it is 1.6 and if you try to upgrade it I believe you will mess up all of the added stuff that Entourage has built on top of the base Anrdroid OS. So no library, no menus, no e-ink functionality, etc. In other words I wouldn't do it.

I worked with the Isilo group and they now have an android beta out to make Isilo available as a full screen app. for the Edge

I haven't seen anyone mention Swift Twit yet. It's full screen and awesome. Installed just fine from either slideme.org or the other site that has its own installer (can't remember which one, but so far I only have apps from the two sites with their own site installers, so it came from one of them).

Search for the APK files on Google you should be able to find it. Only runs in small screen so pretty much pointless.

One of the tech blogs I subscribe to wrote a post about Dophin Browser: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/dolphin...r-alternative/ In case you're still not sure about pulling the trigger, it is worth a try. I know it's not the favourite of everyone here, but enough of us are sold on it that you probably should try it to see if you like it better than the default browser.

Have you had any instability with Dolphin? I absolutely loved using it....tabs, gestures (customizable even), seemed faster than the default browser.....but was experiencing lockups of the LCD side frequently. Locked so bad that the only way to unlock was to pull the battery. After about a week of this, it finally dawned on me that it only happened while running Dolphin. So, reluctantly and sadly, I uninstalled it. No more lockups over the last 3 days.
So, I am wondering if that is happening to others as well, or if it's just a quirk on my system.

I haven't had any problems with Dolphin causing a lock up, or crashing or anything. Could it be you had a bad install? I would probably try installing again to see whether that brings back the problems, then I guess you'd know.
