Unhappy Fat chance !!!!!!!!!!

'Course I would !

Does anyone really turn a book down, if the subject's of interest to them, because it's too cheap ?

Doesn't happen in my business, anyway - the buggers are always trying to beat me down.

I've picked up a few dozen excellent books from Baen for free. Price does not necessarily reflect quality.

That said, there are some truly excreble titles in the cheap slots at B&N.

I have and I will probably always will. In fact, I look for books in that price range, and if they are a genre that interests me, chances are I will buy it.

Sure. I usually pop around and read reviews first if I'm not familiar with the author, and I've gotten only a few duds that way. Most have been good bargains. I usually keep tabs of the promotional deals in the forums here.

sure, price means nothing, as the public domain classics sugest.

Yup! All the time. Some publishers lower prices to .99 or 1.99 specifically to boost sales. I know Amazon adjusts and compares prices with books on B&N, and probably the other way around. I definitely take the cover into account, and about half the time get a sample to read first. The price usually isn't that important--as long as it's reasonable.

Lol I am getting to the point where I don't want to spend more than $2 on an ebook. I look at $2.99 books wishing they would go on a sale xD

I have read a number of Amazon's free offerings

Some were over-priced but others have resulted in me buying more of the author's works.

definitely. if they're in your area of interest and seem good enough why not buy them for $2 or less.
there are plenty of indie authors that like to sell their work in this range, and many i found by browsing mobileread.

i also found books by john locke, all of his are $0.99 and are really good in the spy/espionage/thriller area.
some better than others but i have all seven to date.

if a hardcover is out that i must have and the ebook is over $6 i have to think long and hard if i want to purchase it or wait it out. normally i'd buy the hardcover at $30 but now i try to curb the spending and find the best deals possible.

sometimes a book will never be in the $2 range but if i can get more in this range than not i consider it a win.

ABSOLUTELY! i've found PLENTY of authors with bargain-priced books; they aren't cheap books, but GREAT books at cheap prices!

Bargain eBook Hunter posts daily about low-priced and free eBooks. i'm always finding new authors writing great stories. check them out, if you're interested in something new too!

It's a bit like taking a punt on a paper book in a remaindered book shop - I have come across a number of outstanding authors that way - Brian Moore and Barbara Pym come to mind. I guess the difference with ebooks is that there are so many of them and the cheapos are often self-published, which would put me off.

I have seen on tv news magazines that the same product in a store will sell better priced higher then lower. People have it in there mind that high price equalls quality. As they say don't judge a book by it's cover (or price).
