I think it depends of the user and their preferences ... ...

I certainly like the new Nook Touch, but I personally see no issue clicking a button to turn a page. It is a very simple task, does not drive me nuts ...

As someone who switched to non tactile to tactile, the things where tactile helps is note taking (well, the kindle do have the keyboard there), and navigating the menus.

That's a valid point.

But talking about touch screen vs physical keyboard, I don't find my Kindle slower than my iPad, when typing I mean.

The menus are faster on a touch screen device, you are totally right about that. But for novels or fiction, I don't see a major issue either, those are usually read on a continue mode or session, unless you keep changing from one book to another and you don't read for a long session. I found myself jumping a lot between chapters when reading PDFs or computer books, which I don't think it's the case for average user. But I don't usually jump or change too much of book while reading, I keep reading the same book for 30 min or so, even an hour, so I don't have to visit the Kindle's menu page too frequently.
