Oh yeah, sorry I forgot, I'll try taking a look through the update.sh and disable those checks for you, I meant to do it weeks ago but I went on vacation without my laptop and forgot lol so sorry. EDIT: did you actually end up getting an update.zip to work? I might have missed it...

No, the adb was working. Justin case help me with a temporary root over adb.
copy a good copy of build.prop from ermine. and the damn think starting booting. LCD only 'tough. I believe was android commander borking it. Other people complained about system corruption using android commander or droid explorer. Tried copping file systems and drivers and still no luck on eink side. copied logcat in the other forum but nobody came with an idea. I will really appreciate your help. I was so desperate I ordered another PE via woot, via a friend, coming to UK next week I hope. If I get this working my daughter can have it and the other one keep it for testing. Sorry, but the android is all new to me... Despite being a kind of a tekkie, but more specialised. Quote:

Absolutely. I sent him a message about it; don't know if he has the build available, but that's exactly what I really wanted. If he's around and it doesn't brick my PE I'll be glad to experiment.

I want screen integration. if robot figured out how to control both screens will be phantastic to be able to transfer any lcd static image to eink at the touch of a button.

It's funny you say that because just a week before these showed up on Woot I really wanted a PQi Adam but with the price/reliability issues I figured I'd wait, then this popped up for $120 and it seemed too good to be true. Has anyone tried contacting robot about releasing the build? I'm sure we could pick up where he left off.

I'd hate to flood his inbox but I'm inclined to do the same, even if he's too busy to resume work on it it would still be great if he could upload it for the rest of us to use/tweak/continue developing.

I think most of the dev's from the early days including robot abandoned their work on it due to lack of support from entourage and the community. I doubt you will get much of a response, but you can try!

It would be awesome if we could get an ermine source drop before everyone is gone. Even if some bits must be removed for copyrights owned by others. But the least Entourage can do for their customers is GPL their code before they close up shop.
