I myself downloaded Calibre to do the exact thing the OP needed to do. When it didn't work, I came here to figure out what I was doing wrong, only to find that this is a "do not fix." I get that the community doesn't understand why this is a desireable feature, but it sometimes is. The application as is seems quite mature and functional, but this included feature is half baked. IMHO, if the developers and community are so anti PDF - and I get that - why not just remove it?

The OP might have been a little terse, but he was probably responding to feeling like he was being treated uh... funny.
