Looks nice.
PDF support looks very nice. I do prefer hard buttons for page turns, though, both for fingerprints and for ergonomics. I wonder a couple things: Is the dictionary more generally functional than in the old Kobo? Does it have wifi, and if so, is the wifi more generally functional (like for side loading) than on the old Kobo? |

This is outstanding ... three Kobos in one year ... a new model every six months ... each adding value to the previous ... and all in the under $150 price point.
Meanwhile, the Kobobooks.com bookstore continues to improve in selection, as well continuing to market to its end-users in innovative ways. It's the only e-reader from a company which is solely focussed on e-books and e-readers and yet as little as one year ago ... didn't exist (the Canadian launch was May 1, the US launch late June and the rest of the world followed a couple of weeks later). I'm thrilled they've added the Pearl screen and, in reducing the height, it will fit more pockets (although it appears the same width). However, it is new software and buttonless except for a home button so it remains to be seen how intuitive it is to find books, browse titles, sync to the cloud, etc. It doesn't sound like an open web browser is included so you still can't side load your own titles over wifi from your calibre server. It would be cool if they managed to link it to both the Kobo store and Overdrive. |

This is practically pornography.
I'll hop on the chance to get one for $129. |

The last sentence in the article makes me really mad. The touch screen on the latest gen Sonys is TOTALLY AWESOME and everyone who is interested in Kobo's reader should hope that they use the exact same technology.
When (if? when.) B&N announces their touch e-ink reader tomorrow, Amazon will be the only major player without touch! eP |

That quilted back gives me LIFE.
I'm rooting for Kobo. I don't know why, but I really am. I like that they stay competitive and keep the other manufacturers on their toes, price wise. |

Looks great. I don't really need another reader, but this might actually be something I'll buy (we'll see what B&N announces tomorrow). While I like my K3 it could certainly be better and the Pearl screen is the biggest advantage it had until now.
Having no experience with Kobo's devices do they offer any organization features? Preferably folders, but hopefully at least tags/collections. |

I saw in a CNET article that it is, indeed, the same touch technology as Sony's readers (Neonode "zForce"). Huzzah!

Very nice. This should make the people who want a WiFi, touch screen reader at a reasonable price very happy.
